Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge
This shelter has gained popularity among tourists more nature oriented and eco-tourism. The reason is that the lake is full at the beginning of the rainy season, joining the Frio River, this phenomenon provides an ideal habitat for breeding birds, making this a paradise for lovers of the same.
Is a set of lowland seasonally flooded, consisting of some lakes and swamps that harbor a diverse fauna, especially birds. Life revolves around Caño Black Lagoon, fed by the Frio River. With the advent of the dry season in early February through April, is reduced to small lakes, canals and furrows.
