Ricon de la Vieja Volcano
Rincon de la Vieja is a volcano that is located to 1,916 meters above sea level.
In this common area hot springs and geysers of steam. There are also lakes that contain sulfur dioxide, with layers of constant boiling steam. Thermal activity in the park in the rainy season increases the amount of water that continuously heats and evaporates.
Studies carried out in the park have documented 257 species of birds. There are also small populations of mammals such as deer, sloths, pumas and tapirs.
