Mark your calender for september and october if you´d love to see whales in their natural habitat. During the middle of our rainy season, in one of the rainiest parts of the country, the sun shines for many humpback whales. They come back home to Costa Rica in order to have their babies and to nurture them in the warm shallow waters of Parque Nacional Marino Ballena and also to reproduce of course, before heading out to the southern hemisphere.
