Your overall comments on the trip:

The quote from Tachiz Travel was one of two quotes that we received.  We decided to use Tachiz based on their friendly, prompt replies by email and phone, and the fact that they listened to our needs and budget requests while also presenting us with a fabulous itinerary!  From the beginning of the planning, to our time in Costa Rica, through the end of our vacation Francisco was available 24/7.  I even made a change to our tour schedule the day before we left without issue.   We loved being greeted by Alex, and his wife and son at the San Jose airport.  It was so nice to meet one of the people that helped plan our trip and felt personal meeting his family as well. We would use Tachiz Travel again and recommend them to our friends.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved the Arenal Volcano area and the town of La Fortuna.  Every tour that we did there was amazing, exciting, and guided by extremely knowledgeable and friendly people.  We did the Arenal Hanging Bridges tour through the rain forest.  The guide was adept at spotting things that no one else could see, and it was obvious that he truly cared about the rainforest and its preservation.  The second day we went white water rafting on the Balsa River.  We had never been rafting before and our guide made us all feel comfortable.  We had a blast! This was the favorite tour for our three boys ages 10,12, and 14, but we truly enjoyed all 3.  Day 3 was zip-lining at Arenal Paraiso.  We were lucky to see toucans in the trees below us, and this was the most beautiful scenery of the whole trip.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We talked about this after we got home. There are so many different regions to visit in Costa Rica, but we would definitely return to Arenal. We wouldn't go to Manual Antonio again...it wasn't as lush and serene as Arenal.  We felt like the tours were better in Arenal as well.
