we need any information or change any
tour.
We really enjoyed the rafting and zip lining.

We just returned from a delightful trip to Costa Rica (7days). It was my first time traveling abroad with just me and my children (ages 8,9). Although I normally would plan my own itinerary, I had never been to Costa Rica and did not have the time to plan all the details that would ensure a safe and full experience for my kids- so I chose Tachiz Travel (after reviewing some other agency options). I was not disappointed! Throughout the whole planning experience, they were very responsive and honest in their recommendations. Francisco even met us at the airport and Alex called multiple times during the trip to check on us. We had many experiences to choose from (I looked at other reviews of the specific excursions before we arrived, so felt comfortable with my selections). We chose to go to Arenal and Manuel Antonio. I chose not to visit a third location as they mentioned it might be a lot of driving for my children- and that was a good decision (if you are prone to carsickness, bring something along- very helpful for windy roads). My kids loved everything- we went to the Hanging Bridges in Arenal, white water rafting, zip lining, horseback riding, Kids Saving the Rainforest Rescue Center, and a mangrove boat tour. They also loved the Biesanz beach at Manuel Antonio. Each excursion was very fun and educational. The hotels were nice. I do not have a reference point for hotels in general in Costa Rica, but they were clean and service was very good. Both also had amazing views of the volcano and the beach. Our drivers (Jose and Alex) between airport and hotels were wonderful- taking time to point out sights and stopping for breaks and snacks. We were all very sad to leave but already planning our next trip!

Our trip was well planned and executed without issues. Alex and Francisco take a personal approach with their customers and go the extra mile to make you a personal experience. They took each of our requests into account and provided good options. We added activities and changed our transport while on the trip and they made these changes quickly and accurately allowing us the freedom to continue our vacation and add additional activities as we saw fit. Overall a well plained and enjoyable trip. I recommend their services without reservation.
We visited the Arenal and Manuel Antonio regions during our week in Costa Rice. These areas are different in that it is pure rain forest in the Arenal area and a mixture of rain forest and beach in Manuel Antonio. While each of my family members likely had their own favorite experiences, my favorites were white water rafting while in the Arenal area and the Manuel Antonio Park nature walk. Most activities are scheduled for about a half day leaving time to relax around the hotel in the afternoon or add additional activities if desired. In one week's time we went on 2 horseback rides to waterfalls, bathed in hot springs, performed 2 nature walks, took lake boat ride, road jet skies, kayaked and did a chocolate/coffee tour. We still had plenty of time to relax at our hotels and go out to eat and many great locations.
