Turtle Island
This paradise island is located in the Gulf of Nicoya, is a private biological reserve protected by the laws of Costa Rica.
Turtle Island is composed of two islands, Alcatraz Island, turtle-shaped island Tolinga. From a distance, offshore, resemble turtles, hence its name means tortoise in the old language Huetar, belonging to the Indians who inhabited part of the Central Pacific.
The calm turquoise waters of the island give way to an idyllic white sand beach over 500 meters, surrounded by green palm trees mejestuosas, a tropical paradise.
