Barbudal Hills Reserve
Barbudal Hills Reserve is better known as the Park of insects, because of its immense variety of insects that can be found, more than 240 species of bees and 60 species of butterflies have been classified in the vicinity of the park.
This reserve protects interesting examples of tropical dry forest, with some patches of evergreen rain forest and primary forest. You can find endangered species, such as the Mahogany and secolla.
Inside the park there are several backside or natural pools where you can find some species of fishes.
In the reserve live very beautiful bird species, for example, the Elegant Trogon Trogon and, Owls, mammals such as deer, white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys and howler monkeys, agoutis, and many reptiles.
