Costa Rica with Tachiz Travel

Our Wonderful Costa Rica Trip

Alex, I want to thank you and your organization www.tachiztravel.com for putting together a fantastic trip for me and Shannon.  You were very responsive to all my emails and questions; your welcome phone call was very calming after a long day of traveling; everyone who we encountered was wonderfully kind, funny and knowledgeable - all in all a great trip.
A few comments on each of the items, if it's helpful to you.
 - Flamingo Beach was lovely, calm, the beach is great, the food is delicious, the beds very comfortable.  It was a little too 'resort-y' for us, but we relaxed and enjoyed it.
 - Jacamara - an excellent driver and tour guide (Julio).  Careful, on time, friendly, very knowledgable about the area
 - Guatil pottery - interesting, but a little forced to just go to one place. prices are not labeled on the pottery, which would be helpful for tourists.
 - Canoe Adventures - again, very kind, careful, funny, fun-loving, excellent guides, accommodating for some of us older folks.  That trip on peñas blancas was the absolute best - tell folks to wear old clothes and waterproof foot gear (and to only bring waterproof camera and binoculars and nothing else).
 - Transmata - wonderful guide named Miguel.  The night hike was super; the hike in the cloud forest also very enjoyable.
 - the only thing we did that I would leave out is Selvatura.  It's very busy, crowded, not calm.  They just move you through everything quickly.  In comparison with the other activities, it was a let down.

We had a great time, Alex, and we are very grateful for all your work. We would like to go back to Costa Rica, to the east coast, next year.  We'll be back in touch!
Muchisimas gracias y saludos cordiales,

Linda Jo Stern
