Is camuflage important in the tropical forests of Costa Rica?

Do you see a leaf or can you see the magnificent Leaf katydid? a close relative of the cricket and the grasshoper. Camuflage is very important for survival in the tropical forests of Costa Rica and it means dissapearing. We must add it is far easier to spot this fellow on our trash can than in the forest behind them.
