More Peak Season Reviews on Tachiz Travel Service

Tachiz Travel Review by M. Huntsman, USA from: 01/09/2019

Loved, loved, loved working with Tachiz Travel in Costa Rica. Alex and Francisco are the owners and brothers. They were able to put together a great itinerary taking into account the preferences of all of my family members. Luxury for my husband and activities for my college-age sons. Everything was perfectly organized, and a detailed itineraryfor our week went off without any hitches. They responded quickly to emails and phone calls. They both have experience living in the US for a while, so no communication problems. Loved both of the hotels they selected for us. I had told them that I prefer gluten-free options as much as possible, and even at one of the day trips the tour company knew ahead of time and gladly pointed out to me at lunchtime the gluten-free selections without me even asking.

We loved seeing the animals in Manual Antonio Park, the Mangrove tour, and from our hotel balcony. Our boys really enjoyed the Sky limit adventure at Arenal. Overall we enjoyed meeting the Costa Rican people and enjoying the natural beauty. Also enjoyed our meals!

Tachiz Travel Review by R. Olofsson, Sweden from: 01/08/2019

Costa Rica has a fantastic nature and great opportunities to view birds and also other animals.

We got help with arranging a trip entirely based on our wishes. It became a varied journey with rainforest, high mountains, beaches. We got to see infinitely many birds but also other animals such as monkeys, sloths, tapirs. There were many opportunities for activities and we chose among other things snorkeling, horse riding and many guided tours at the various sites. All transports worked flawlessly. Everyone was punctual and worked great. The hotels we had were at a fairly high standard and were pleasant. Nice that the credit card worked everywhere.

Tachiz Travel Review by H. Schmidt, USA from: 01/06/2019

My husband and I are speechless!!! Alex and Francisco, of Tachiz Travel, were impeccable hosts. We asked for an adventurous and romantic 10 days in Costa Rica and they delivered more than we could have expected. They had everything planned out for us from each hotel, private travel, and outside excursions. We were given an itinerary and everything that was planned was taken care of and on time. By the end our our trip, I was in tears because I fell in love with Costa Rica and the people there.

We started in Monteverde and the scenery was absolutely stunning...everywhere we went was! We stayed at El Establo for two nights and we did the zipline canopy tour and a night hike. We then moved to the Rincon De la Veija region and stayed at the Bourinquen for three night. Once again, we were so at peace with the people and the scenery. We took a hike to the top of the world, where we saw some amazing waterfalls and we were lucky enough to have the pleasure of sliding down a natural water slide :). We then moved to our final destination in Nosara, at Lagarta Lodge, where we spent our last five nights. There we were once again amazed at the hospitality and the views of Costa Rica. We had the opportunity to paddle board in the mangroves, surf at Playa Guiones, hiked to a waterfall, hike in the Biological Reserve, enjoyed New Years, and ate at a beautiful restaurant on Playa Pelada.

No words or pictures can truly express our appreciation and love for this trip and the all of the people who made it happen!

Each part had it's special place in our hearts, however, if we had to pick one, we would have to choose our time at the Borinquen. This is where we were first able to truly relax after our first few travel days. We stayed in our own bungalow and the calm that came upon us was indescribable. We had a couple's massage and then we did the natural mud bath treatment. I am not sure we would have left if we didn't have reservations in Nosara...but luckily we went there too :)

The only thing we would do differently is to not have an activity our first full day. We noticed that we were so overwhelmed with the traveling on the plane and then to our first destination, we felt our bodies didn't have enough time to recuperate to truly get into our zen until our third day.
